Abdoun is Amman's most affluent and diplomatic neighborhood, perched on the hills of west Amman and bordered by Sweifieh, Deir Ghbar, Jabal Al-Akhdar, Al-Hilal, Al-Yasmin, and Jabal Amman. The Abdoun Bridge connects it directly to the 4th Circle, linking the neighborhood to downtown and Rainbow Street. Home to numerous foreign embassies, including the US Embassy, Abdoun carries a Westernized, security-conscious character with tree-lined streets, upscale villas, and some of the city's finest dining and nightlife. TAJ Lifestyle Center anchors the retail and entertainment scene, while Abdoun Circle serves as the neighborhood's social hub. Residential demand here skews toward premium villas and high-spec apartments, with rents among the highest in Amman, reflecting the area's embassy-district status and its pull with diplomats, senior executives, and established expat families. Green space is a defining feature of the area, with the Housing Bank Garden, Japanese Park, and Amman Martyrs Park nearby. Weekend evenings around Abdoun Circle and TAJ Mall get busy, particularly around embassy events and holiday periods.

Abdoun borders Deir Ghbar, Sweifieh, and Jabal Amman. Taxis are the easiest way in and out, and on-street parking is plentiful outside school hours. Most amenities are within a short drive — Abdoun Mall, TAJ Mall, and the Cozmo supermarket area are all just minutes away.
