About Swefiyeh
Sweifieh is Amman's longstanding retail and dining heart, tucked in west Amman between Abdoun, Deir Ghbar, and Um Uthaina. At its center is Al-Wakalat Street — Jordan's first pedestrianized street, redesigned in 2007 into a tree-lined promenade of international brand stores, bridal boutiques, and cafés that spill onto the pavement well past midnight. Around it sit Sweifieh Village, Galleria Mall, and Baraka Mall, giving the neighborhood one of the densest retail clusters in the city. Sweifieh draws a wide, all-day crowd: families and shoppers by afternoon, students and young professionals once the sun goes down. On the residential side, demand leans toward apartments above retail floors and corner villas on the quieter side streets, a mix that keeps rental yields healthy for landlords in the area. Parking is available in multi-storey structures on Al-Wakalat Street and underground at Sweifieh Village and Galleria Mall.
Sweifieh borders Abdoun, Deir Ghbar, and Um Uthaina. Parking is easy to find, multi-storey on Al-Wakalat Street, underground at Sweifieh Village.
